At 4:00 am, you will be picked up from your hotel in Cusco and depart for Mollepata, a small town located approximately 100 km from Cusco.
After a 2.5-hour drive, we will arrive at Mollepata where we will have a brief stop for breakfast and continue our journey to Soraypampa.
At approximately 9:00am, we will begin our trek to Humantay Lake, which will take us about 1.5 hours to reach. Along the way, we will appreciate the beautiful landscapes of the Andes Mountains and the diverse flora and fauna.
Once we arrive at the lake, we will have time to explore and take photos of the breathtaking scenery. After enjoying the beauty of the lake and its surroundings, we will start our descent back to Soraypampa, where we will have lunch.
Finally, we will return to Cusco, arriving around 5:00pm, and you will be dropped off at your hotel.
It is not recommended to hike to Humantay Lake without an experienced guide due to the challenging terrain and potential altitude sickness. Additionally, hiring a guide ensures safety and support during the hike.
