The tour to Machu Picchu from Cusco kicks off at 04:00 AM. A vehicle picks you up from your hotel in Cusco. You will start the journey to Ollantaytambo. You will arrive there at 05:50 AM. The distance covered is approximately 70 kilometers (43.5 miles). You will have a brief rest here. You can enjoy a light breakfast if you wish.
At 05:50 AM, you will be boarding the PeruRail train. This is the beginning of your scenic train ride to Aguas Calientes. You will have sights of the beautiful views of the Sacred Valley from the train.
By 08:00 AM, you will reach Aguas Calientes. The town is nestled at the foot of Machu Picchu. You would have covered approximately 110 kilometers (68 miles) from Cusco by now.
Your Transfer will meet you at the train station. They will escort you to the bus station. From there, a 30 minute bus ride awaits.
At 10:30 AM, you will begin the bus ride. You will be climbing the zigzag road to Machu Picchu.
